This guide is designed to help busy technology professionals get IIS 4 installed quickly and respond to its many administration challenges.
Author Mitch Tulloch shows his expertise as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, presenting the information in a well-organized format that revolves around solving common problems. The book has three parts: Administering Servers, Administering Clients, and Administering Content Developers to cover the essential information. A mixture of suggestion lists, problem/solution examples, and walkthroughs make the title an efficient read.
Tulloch covers the individual WWW, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) services from the management perspective, and he devotes a large portion of the book to troubleshooting in a question-and-answer format. While this section includes lots of useful information, some of the answers are a bit on the light side.

I used this book to pass the IIS exam and had absolutely no problem passing with an excellent grade. There is only one thing lacking and that is the ODBC error explainations (which can be found many places on the internet). With this book I feel confident in my abilities with IIS4.
