3lbs of Fedora Core 8 goodness. This is more like an end-user/junior sysadmin bible though. It covers a _LOT_ of ground -- everything from installation to configuration to deploying network services, the bible goes step by step. In some cases, the bible offers a more complete set of documentation than manuals from Red Hat. The book doesn't delve into the nitty-gritty of Linux. For example, rolling a custom kernel is out. Probably for good reason though since most people probably won't need to do that. Things like strace or deep security concepts are best researched using other books. RHEL5 is an after-thought in this bible. Do not buy if you are looking for lots of RHEL specific topics. Still, for a Fedora Core end-user or someone starting out in sysadmin field, this bible will deliver the goods.
