Product Description This book offers brief coverage of JavaScript and Web programming. This modest volume does not permit an exhaustive coverage of either HTML (used to create Web pages) or JavaScript (used to add animation, automation, and user interaction to Web pages). Instead, readers learn enough of both to do some fairly fancy things in the Web environment. Along the way, they pick up the concepts and techniques of computer programming. For readers who want to learn computer programming in the Web environment.

Customer Reviews & Comments Even though this little book (134 pages including index) is brief, it covers a pretty full range of JavaScript topics, and all of the syntax is up to date (2007), unlike some weightier JavaScript books! So many JavaScript books are out of date--despite their publication dates. This book is a good overview for beginners and a good reference for a professional who only uses JavaScript from time to time. It's also a good introduction to programming for someone who has never programmed before.
