Customer Reviews & Comments Don't purchase this book for the evaluation version of Netscape Visual JavaScripting, CD ROM. This version is buggy and the CD startup actually failed. When I called the distributor's tech support (as outlined in the book) I was told that group (Coriolis distributors) did not support Netscape products any longer and they did not have a forwarding number. There is a fair introduction to JavaScripting with database connectivity however this is a relatively new technology, for Netscape and JavaScripting, and needs some enhancements. Even after stepping through the applications debugger, I was not able to find some of the application failures. The most I go out of this book was a clear understanding that JavaScript is extremely powerful, dynamic, and other tools are needed for reference manuals and "bullet proof" application development. I recommend waiting until either another publisher distributes a better reference guide and CD ROM or Netscape gets it right in a later version.
