It starts with an introduction to the Internet, which explains what the Net has to offer, who pays for it, how it got started, and how you can get connected. The book then moves on to discuss the World Wide Web, browsers, plug-ins, security issues, Java, ActiveX, and VRML in simple terms. Without a doubt, one of the best ways for non-technical folks to learn about the web and the internet. I'm personally opposed to labeling anyone unfamiliar with computers, a dummy. This book teaches by using mostly graphic imagery which clearly illustrates the concepts being discussed. A definate add-on for anyone getting, or giving a new computer, Mac or PC.
