This is the clearest explanation I've found on copyright and fair use. Copyright laws make no sense to me, but this book breaks it down in digestable chunks. The examples really help, for the most part they were actually interesting and sometimes funny. The exercises were good too especially on how to find Public Domain pictures and sound. I can't say that I will ever really understand copyright laws but at least I get how to use somebody else's files now.
