    From Library Journal
Thinking about creating your own home page? You'll need to know a little about HyperText Markup Language (HTML), a way of marking a document with tags for use on the World Wide Web. Aronson's little book is a straightforward guide to HTML, with plenty of examples and useful advice for even the most seasoned Internet resource providers. Four chapters and three appendixes provide the basics, without confusion or babble. The first chapter quickly defines HTML and clarifies its importance in cyberspace. The second chapter describes the language itself, including tags, anchors, and links, as well as the means to bring in graphics and other illustrations. Style and common sense are the hallmarks of the third chapter, which essentially tells how to keep your home page simple. Examples fill the last chapter, and the appendixes point you to other resources, provide a list of markup elements, and analyze HTML+. Especially important in the second appendix is a description of Mosaic Netscape extensions to HTML. This is far from exhaustive, but it is a great place to start and a handy refresher for experienced home page architects.

    Customer Reviews & Comments
You give it one star because it's old???? Please. I bought this book in 1997 when I first started learning HTML and it was and still is an invaluable resource. So what if it's old? In 1994 and even in 1997, it was excellent. It is clearly written and not at all confusing, and I still recommend it to beginners to this day.
