About The Author
Wilpen Gorr is a professor of Public Policy and Management Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University. Professor Gorr's current projects include developing leading indicator forecast models for law enforcement, decision support systems for facility location decisions, and information systems for support of policy and planning in organizations.
Kristen Kurland holds a joint faculty appointment at the H. John Heinz School of Public Policy and Management and Carnegie Mellon's School of Architecture. Her focus at CMU includes technologies in the fields of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Kristen works closely with the School of Architecture¿s Urban Laboratory and Heinz School Policy students on Urban Sustainability issues.
