I found this book in a bargain bin at a grocery store. What attracted me to it was two things - first, I love summer. Second, it had such engaging illustrations and twinkly flashing lights. It basically goes through a synopsis of an evening in the summer, and all the lights you might see - fireflies, a fair, fireworks, shooting stars... My children, aged 17 months and 2 1/2, love this book. There is an easy-to-press button in the upper right corner to activate the lights for each page, and they both enjoy making the book come alive. Highly recommended...lovely, sweet, durable, will keep you warm in January and make you look forward to what's coming up in the summer!
