Product Description
This study presents and analyzes the results of key ERP issues from IDC's European Vertical Markets Survey 2007. More specifically, the study examines the European attitudes and plans for ERP applications. The European Vertical Markets Survey 2007 was carried out in August/November 2007 among 2,077 companies with more than 20 employees in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Finally, the study provides essential guidance on key strategic priorities for ERP vendors.
More than 18% of European companies are looking to improve their ERP system by investing to build a new solution or enhance the old one. This result means that almost a third of companies with an ERP application are active, and investing to improve their current solution. "Spain, France, and the U.K. will see the most ERP traction, with high proportions of companies investing to build a new ERP solution or to enhance the old one. In terms of company size, the midmarket companies are the most eager to invest in ERP solutions," said Bo Lykkegaard, program manager, European Enterprise Applications at IDC.
