Product Description
Perhaps you've been tasked with modifying an existing Crystal 8.5 Report, but this time instead of using the traditional classic ASP format, your group is using .NET technology. For this new report, you want to use a dataset as the datasource, but you also might want to make future reports into web services. Sound familiar?
In this article, author Eric Landes walks you through the processes required to convert your classic ASP pages that display Crystal Reports to Crystal .NET using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio .NET. This article assumes familiarity with classic ASP (VBScript), Crystal Reports 8.0 and above, SQL Server 2000, and Visual Studio .NET. On SQL Server 2000, you need to have the Northwind database installed.

Customer Reviews & Comments Let me first say that I just spent ... for a copy of the ASP.NET pdf file that is available for free on various websites . How can Wrox charge for this information??? Its only eleven pages, and there is nothing new here. Here is an outline of what you get: 1. Demo of an existing ASP report 2. Do "Save As" to convert the report to ASP.NET (wow! what a revelation) 3. Show VB.NET code to open the report and login to a database. 4. Export the file. What is here that justifies spending any money? Why does Wrox think we should pay for this document? I bought this because I thought Wrox would have done some good research and produce something that is worth reading. C'mon Wrox, you can do better than this. This would be funny if I didn't just throw away my money on it. Anyway, if you're smart you'll just go and get it online. Its the same thing and most don't charge for it. By the way - can I get a refund???
