Book Description
Teenage Lesbian Lovers
Holly Harvey was a Barbie doll beauty. Sandy Ketchum a dark, troubled soul. Fueled by sex, drugs, and obsession, they swore that nothing would ever tear them apart. Even if it meant killing anyone who got in their way
With A Shopping List
A good and decent couple, Holly Harvey's grandparents Carl and Sarah Collier wanted Holly to stop getting high and seeing Sandy. When the teenagers struck, it was with a depraved savagery few investigators had ever seen before. Dozens of deep, bloody stab wounds were found on each body. The Colliers fought for their lives--but never had a chance against their granddaughter's rage.
For Murder
Soaked in blood, Holly and Sandy took off in the Colliers' truck. When police arrested them, Holly had a to-do list written in pen on her arm: "Kill, keys, money, jewelry." The girls' lawyers battled furiously for an acquittal. Then it was up to a jury to decide: What price would they finally pay for their love, their rage--and their evil?

Customer Reviews & Comments
Carl and Sara Collier were in their seventies when their disturbed granndaughter, Holly Harvey and her lesbian girlfriend, Sandy Ketchum, both in their teens brutally murdered them in the Colliers' home with their own kitchen knives. Both Sandy and Holly had troubled lives but you feel more sympathy for Sandy than Holly who wanted to maintain her girlfriend despite her maternal grandparents' old-fashioned ways and beliefs. Not that the Colliers were prejudiced about their daughter's choice of girlfriends, after all Holly and Sandy were just teens. The author explains the teens' troubled histories. Sandy's birth mother abandons her; her first stepmother becomes an invalid incapable of caring for her; her second stepmother abused her; and the fourth stepmother, Beth, is the only stepmother who loved her even if it meant disciplining her. Both Sandy's dad, Tim, and stepmother Beth accepted Sandy as a lesbian despite all the obvious signs of her masculinity and hanging around Holly. They never thought that Sandy would be having sexual relations with Holly until Holly's grandmother had to admit the true nature of their relationship. Holly upset by her grandparents' decision that Holly could not see Sandy. It provoked her to murder and a brutal killing spree. The Colliers did everything that they could for Holly's mother, Carla Jean. Even though adopted, Carla and her older brother Kevin were loved and treated well by the COlliers. Kevin couldn't have asked for better adoptive parents. The Colliers never denied them that they were adopted but they wanted children and couldn't have one. The Colliers were ideal parents, adopted or natural. They provided a loving home but Carla was troubled and had led a troubled adult life. Carla's life reflected Holly's spoiling, lack of discipline, and mistreatment of others even Sandy at times. Holly never had a parent and when her grandparents intervened to save their only granddaughter that she thanked them by murdering them because they disliked her girlfriend or the drugs, etc. Sadly, the Colliers paid the ultimate price by not removing Holly from their home into a mental health center or juvenile hall. Now, Holly and Sandy are in prison but I don't think they communicate with one another. The book is a well-written expose about Sandy and Holly, the lesbian duo killing spree. I expect Sandy will come out okay but not Holly without the proper treatment. They got the best prison sentences available. I guess there was just too much sympathetic.
