I believe this is a good first book for the Security + exam. This exam is not easy needing 85% to pass it. You'll need to read more than just this book, but this is a great starter book. I feel like alot of the information in here was beneficial to me passing the exam, HOWEVER, i would like to recommend the Syngress Security + book to read after compleating this book. Those 2 books combined with a good practice exam should help you pass. Good luck!
