Product Description
If you develop for the Web, you know that Macromedia ColdFusion MX lets you combine the power of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) with the rapid development and ease of the ColdFusion Markup Language. Reality Macromedia ColdFusion MX: J2EE Integration, part of the Reality series from Macromedia Press, gives you an intimate look at how a crack development team planned for and built some serious applications using the synergies of Macromedia ColdFusion MX and J2EE. From defining the business problems to conceiving the solutions and making them a reality, this book shows you the entire process from the inside out. As a virtual member of the team, you're privy to meeting notes, inter-company memos, and technical diagrams--all the inner-workings of best practices used to develop the book's highlighted applications, which include a news syndicator, enterprise portal, customer relationship manager, e-commerce Web site, and B2B exchange. You'll learn how to utilize Java constructs like JavaServer Pages (JSP) custom tags, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), XML, JavaMail, Java Messaging Service (JMS), and more. Customer Reviews & Comments This book provided us with some valuable hints and suggestions that have helped guide our company's e-business. The section of the book on the E-Commerce application gave us alot of great ideas but the most helpful was the section on the Customer Relationship Managment tool (section 4). We implemented something that was very close to what was described and it appears to be a very solid long term solution.
