Customer Reviews & Comments
I have a lot of short notes to make about this book. First, I want to say the only reason I rated the book a 4 instead of a 5 was because I already had a fair understanding of Fusebox 3 before buying the book. With that said, my notes are as follows: 1.) Its a very short and very easy read. I finished the entire book, front to back, in about a half a day. Granted, I already knew the basics of FB 3, but I wanted to hone my skills and learn more. 2.) The book was very easy to follow. Maybe this was because I was already familiar with Fusebox 3, or simply because things were explained very well. Only Appendix A was slightly confusing, but after a second browse through I understood what they were saying quite well. 3.) If you already know Fusebox, this book might or might not be for you. It goes over all the elements that comprise Fusebox 3, which were not too hard to learn in the first place. However, it does show you the inner workings of Fusebox, which gives you a better understanding for what is happening. Plus, I learned a thing or two that I had no idea I could do with Fusebox prior to reading the book! 4.) If you don't know Fusebox, get this book! Granted you can learn Fusebox on the Internet for free, but you will get a much better understanding, and pick it up much quicker if you can dedicate 4 to 6 hours to read this book front to back. I also highly suggest creating your own Fusebox applications either while reading this book or afterwards. It gives you a much better feel for what is going on and how FB really works. 5.) This is the only Fusebox 3 book out there as of July, 2002. If you want a FB 3 book, this is your only choice. In conclusion: I only wish I had this book when I decided to pick up Fusebox.
