Your have a TCP/IP network that uses a single network ID. There are 45 users on this network, and about eight of the users spend most of the day sending files with an average size of 145MB to each other over the network. This is significantly slowing down overall network performance for all users on the network. What would be the most cost-effective solution for solving network performance problems?
A. Install an active hub B. Install a bridge C. Enable the scope on the DHCP server D. implement distance vector routing protocols
B. Installing a bridge will allow you to partition the collision domain for users transferring large files. In this way, traffic between users who transfer large files to each other will remain on one side of the bridge. The other users of the network will be located on the opposite side of the bridge, and will not be affected by the file transfers.
A. An Active hub will not partition the collision domain. C and D are incorrect, since the implementation of routing protocols will not improve performance; no routing is taking place within the single subnet.
Customer Reviews & Comments It is a very good book to preparate for the exam. I come from the Netherlands, and I must take the exam in Englisch. The examwatch in this book is very helpfull. From the internet you have the right to download a full exam and you get a full study book webbased for free. The questions in this book are very hard, but I like it because I thought that the exam was harder then it was. I passed the exam with 903 points.
