Lammle's book is made for those who wish to waste time trodding through a slopped together book. The writing is more conversational and less informative. CCNA Official Exam Certification Library (CCNA Exam 640-802) (Exam Certification Guide) Use the cisco press version although it is less conversational it gives you the information in a way that is more organized and better for those who wish to get a CCNA, after all this is what the books are for right? The best part of this book is the IP addressing and Subnetting section but Lammle places far too much stress on just this section and leaves others needing more information and support to understand the concepts presented. The additional flash cards and audio/video excerpts are good but the exceprts only cover the first couple of sections, making it essentially just advertisement for Lammle's other things for sale. The CCNA is covers allot of things you need to memorize. This books chapters are split up into very large sections. This is not good for retaining information. By the time one gets to the review all the stuff at the beginning of the chapter is already forgotten. The CCNA is difficult dont make it more difficult by studying with the wrong materials. Todd Lammle seems to be a great guy, this book just doesn't achieve what it needs to.
