Book Description
This book provides a reader-friendly, highly readable introduction to C++ programming for beginning programming students, especially those majoring in Information Systems and Business. It guides readers through complete and clear descriptions of sample programs, including a wealth of exercises along the way to help reinforce the important points of each chapter. Clear throughout the text is a strong emphasis on business applications, rather than those in science or computer science.
The publisher, Prentice-Hall Engineering/Science/Mathematics
One of the only texts of its kind to focus soley on business applications, this comprehensive introduction to ANSI C programming is geared for students with little programming experience. Sensibly organized, it explains concepts in a clear, understandable language supported by many fully worked-out examples; highlights important definitions, concepts, and rules; and illustrates key ideas in over 70 complete example programs.

Customer Reviews & Comments
This review is from: C for Business Programming (Textbook Binding)
This book was the textbook for CS1 when I was a novice to the c language. I did not understand why the professor did not use the books recommended in the articles on c book. The author tries to cram the students the know-how or howto tips for the business application usign the c. I think it was rather better for c programming articles ,not for the introductory programming text book. I always consulted to 'The C Programming Language' , 'The Book on C' by Irah Pohl,'and 'C How to Program'by Deitel etc. If you start learning programming with c. try the Irah Pohl's books on c and c++ or Deitels'.
