He’s held such diverse jobs as directing television newscasts and publishing music magazines to managing video production departments and consulting to nonprofit agencies. Currently, Richard is the owner of RHED Pixel (www.RHEDPixel.com), a visual communications company in Washington, D.C. RHED Pixel is a successful consultancy that provides technical and managerial services to clients such as the American Red Cross, the American Diabetes Association, the National Association
of Homebuilders, and the Business Software Alliance. RHED Pixel creates everything from broadcast commercials to live events to interactive projects for a diverse clientele.
The Project Management Institute certifies Richard Harrington as a Project Management Professional. He holds a master’s degree in project management as well. Additionally, Richard
is an Adobe Certified Instructor, Apple Certified Trainer, and Avid Certified Instructor, and holds two Adobe Certified Expert certificates. Richard is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals Instructor Dream Team.

This is by far the best Photoshop book I have come across for beginners. As the description states: "teaches you the fundamental digital imaging techniques" ... "many Photoshop books focus on features, tools, or techniques, this book covers both the basics and delves into specific skills, tricks, and uses" ... "in a friendly style" ... "with a DVD-ROM" (excellent companion to book). In my humble opinion, that is exactly what it delivers. In fact, I was impressed with this book for those beginning in Photoshop as it delivers the key core skills (regardless of software version) needed to develop as a Photoshop buffin, that it is now one of the core books we provide our students at the start of their graphic design course. Highly, highly recommend it.
