"Change Drivers will answer the prayers of those who, lacking a comprehensible, easily applied resource document, have been forced to acquire information systems knowledge through trial and error. It stays focused on the need for non-technical readers to understand the implications and applications of information system technology in the outcome-driven business of managed care." —Charlie Stirling, RN
"Managed care means many different things to many people. The authors have not only put managed care into context, but have identified and described the role of information technology in transforming the health care industry." —Stanley R. Nelson
"A unifed source of information about market change, information technology approaches to that change, and the technical and organizational actions that can be employed by integrated delivery systems." —Ralph W. Swain, PhD
Customer Reviews & Comments
If this book was a dynamic work on the web it would be one of the best assets to IT management in healthcare. The challenge with any book published about technology is that many of the technical aspects have changed by the time it hits the shelves. The aspect of this book which redeems its value is the way in which they map out the functions of managed care to help it make sense.
