This is a good CD-ROM/book package for those starting out in web-based education. The authors take their readers through the process, discussing subjects such as design, content development, student assessment, virtual class management, and evaluation of existing products. They even take a cursory pass at setting up a web-based education system. Templates are included on the CD-ROM. Recommended for technically adept readers who need to understand the conceptual organization of information for successful web-based education.

Customer Reviews & Comments
This is a readable, detailed discussion that covers most of the factors and issues involved in putting a course on the Internet. It includes a load of excellent suggestions about course content and structure. The practical approach walks the reader through the steps from planning (which they wisely emphasize) to class management. They include some helpful diagrams and snippets of html and javascript for web site features. It will be a great help to the novice and a fine reference for those more experienced with online courses.
