Each chapter covers a new topic while building upon previous material. Lab exercises that really drive home the material are at the end of each chapter. Very hands-on learning. Topics include query, DDS file creation, programming calling, display files, CL programming, basic operation with commands, command prompting, the all important library list, and much more. After taking a intro AS/400 class with this book I was well on the way to being an advanced user. I even knew more then some longtime operators. I've seen and bought other AS/400 books, but I still keep coming back to this one, and have never seen a better intro book.
