I decided to order this book to prepare for my CompTIA Convergence+ certification exam. I studied the track self-paced using CompTIA's official material, Convergence+ Student Edition, so I told myself I should get a 3rd-party material as well to review for the objectives of the exam. I was quite surprised on how much details and information was presented by the author Tom Carpenter on Wireless Networks on the initial pages of this book. Which is actually good since Wireless Technology is slowly becoming a huge player even in Enterprise networks, and soon 80% penetration in converged networks where Voice and Data traffic roam. I am waiting for a solid cellphone that has I would rate this book 5-Star if not for the too much Wireless Technology jargons present on the chapter discussing Wireless networks. But overall, its a good read, not that heavy or too technical, the Telephony and QoS chapters where well written. And my favorite part is the introduction on converged network security on the last part of the book. I finished reading the book in about 2 weeks, difficult to let go once you have started reading it. Good job Tom! I'll definitely credit you if I pass my exam next month. Wish me luck. Ron
