Customer Reviews & Comments Make: Magazine is a 4-year-old magazine celebrating the Do It Yourself ethic, especially for those who like technology and unusual projects. Each issue has a theme for a majority of the projects, has articles on skills needed, and, depending on your technical skill, easy to follow instructions. This slipcased set of the four issues published in 2008, contains issues dedicated to Magic, Optics, Music and Spying. Many of the projects use household objects, cheap, or easy-to-find electronics, or re-engineered already existing items you own. Some of the projects included may be useful-- the taffy puller for one -- others, like the laser harp, less useful, but much cooler in a "gee whiz" sort of way.
If you haven't gotten around to subscribing to the magazine, this collection is a great way to get last year's issues, and not only give yourself hours of entertainment with fun and odd projects, but also a reason to subscribe to the magazine itself.
