This book does not do a real great job at teaching AutoCAD. Almost every section tells you to ask your professor for specifics, and to use your classmates as a reference tool. That's great, but I bought this book to learn AutoCAD outside a classroom. I learned nearly everything that is taught within the first section of this book within the first two days of an actual AutoCAD class. In that respect, learning through this book is very drawn-out and slow-paced, and even in conjunction with an actual AutoCAD class, I fail to see how this book is of any help. Not to mention, the drawing directions are often very vague, and they assume that you know a bunch of architectural jargon. All in all, this book isn't really a collection of "assignments," or even a descriptive introduction into the world of AutoCAD. I'm not sure what it is, but one thing's certain: it's not very helpful.
